Happy Belated Mama's Day!!
Hope everyone enjoyed their's :0)
We celebrated it a little early at my cousin Dawn's house. I decided to bring a fruit bouquet. After endless researching online (those prices are crazy!) I figured it would be more economical to make one myself. Heres a tutorial I found on youtube.
And heres how mine turned out.
chocolate and fruit HEAVEN!

Tweet.. I mean Sweet Frame!
Picture Frame Fabric Fleece Collage Tutorial wow say that 10x fast..
I get tired of sticking my pictures in boring old frames..why not cute it up a little?
Here's what you need:
some felt, embroidery floss, fabric scraps, background paper/cardstock, scissors, fabri-tac, glue stick, beads or buttons (for eyes).
And of course a collage picture frame. I got mine at a garage sale for 50 cents. The only imperfection is the gunk on the bottom left side (no worries we'll take care of that later)
Open up your frame to get the measurements for your mats. I wanted to do 3 mats with the fabric and fleece art.
Cut out the squares you want to work with.
Cut some cute shapes using your felt. I did some clouds here no pattern necessary, use your imagination!
..and decided to stitch them up using embroidery floss.
Now onto the tree no pattern necessary again, just simple shapes.
Now for the bird. Add a patch of fabric for it's wing.
Cut out some leaves out of felt and fabric.
Some glue and of course the eyes you can use beads or buttons as well.
finished bird assemble the leaves and the bird sitting on the leaves. For an added effect I used brown felt to make it look like branches.
Now line up your art.
Put in your pictures and voila!..oh wait we still have that smudgy thing to deal with in the corner (not very attractive).
ooh la la problem solved. Using some yo-yo's, buttons and a cute owl embellishment we got a pretty darn cute picture frame=)

Sesame Street Presents: The Body
If this exhibit is around your area, and you have a little one who just about worships Elmo then you have to go check this out! This was the very last day they were having the exhibit at Hollywood and Highland and we planned on going for awhile ago but something always came up. When we first entered it I must admit it was a smaller than I anticipated and very, very crowded (but thats what you get when you decide to go on the last day--). Overall the attractions were stimulating, fun for kids, and of course elmo filled. PLUS a live Elmo came out to meet, greet and take pictures with the kids. The ticket prices were considerably reasonable as well $10 for one child and one adult and $5 for an extra adult ticket.

Deal of the Week!
Every year right after each and every holiday Target whips out their 75%(or more) sale on those selected holiday items. I normally don't even bother especially after Easter?..I'll say a very huge polite NO THANK YOU to old chocolate easter eggs and melted gooey peeps. But I had some time on my hands and took a gander. Look what I found, a lovely vintage-y cake stand. For only 4 dollars and some change. Im ecstatic and wanted to share the good news with my Mark, who kindly RE-informed me I dont bake and was sure I didnt even know of a single cake recipe.. (isn't that what google is for?) anyway I was challenged to find a GOOD use for my stand. And I think I did pretty well...
It's a Conspiracy..
Why does it seem like Gymboree never fails to suck in 99.9% of the mommy population?? Sorry I couldn't help it!.. In order to stop myself from running out of the house at 12am and redeeming my gymbucks that are burning are HUGE hole in my pocket, I HAD to do this post.
